How can Animation benefit healthcare?

Animation has a lot to offer the healthcare sector, especially when it comes to communication and education. In an area where good communication is literally the difference between life and death, animation can help overcome language barriers, reading barriers, convolution and confusion.

It's not what is being presented, its how it is being presented, that counts!

Educating people

Educating people is key when it comes to treating and preventing illness. Problems can arise when education is inaccessible due to barriers such as language, reading or attention span. Animation can offer bite-sized videos which people can easily follow with convenience (on a tablet, smartphone etc.). Language barriers can be overcome with a strong visual presentation (and subtitles) and a voice over means reading skills aren't essential.

Raising Awareness

Animated videos are the most eye catching and accessible videos on the internet and great tools for spreading awareness. The best videos use strong visual imagery to make their point whilst staying between 60-90 seconds.

ITs not what is being presented, its how it is being presented, that counts!

Motivating children

It's not uncommon for children to be put in the position where they need to take responsibility for their own medication. A different approach is required because children won’t necessarily recognise the severity of their condition and often need additional motivation. Extra emphasis must be put on the presentation of their instructions, with engaging content that can hold their attention and stick in their memory. Animated stories, games or explainer videos can make a real difference in how a child approaches self-medicating.

Self-medicating

A lot of chronic health conditions can now be treated at home with the various self medication programs now available. This does mean that the presentation of instructions has become crucial and literally can be the difference between life and death. It's very important that information is presented in an easy-to-understand fashion (people aren't necessarily going to be in the best frame of mind when they’re unwell) with both a strong visual and audible explanation of exactly what they need to do.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Animation doesn’t have to cost the earth, but it is a good idea to come to the table with a budget in mind. It’s like buying a car. We know a Punto is cheaper than a Ferrari, but there are all sorts of bells and whistles involved that can affect the price. Animation is the same, but rather than bells and whistles, its characters, backgrounds and other content that make a big difference.

You can buy a 1 minute animation for £1000, if you make cost effective choices, which is why we always offer to plan your animation with you, to avoid costly mistakes.

Put simply, the cost is determined by the duration of the video and its contents. So we have put together a price guide with a ‘per minute’ rate over three categories, Bronze, Silver and Gold, to try and make life easier for people.
