If you've followed any of my other posts on this blog you may have seen that I have slight fascination with space - I find it completely mind-blowing.

Nasa recently created a new animation to show a black hole shredding a star that gets too close.   The artists rendering shows the star being ripped apart and throwing debris out at high speed.  It's great to see and very pretty to look at.  I just wish we could see the real thing but I suppose that's another thing animation is so great for.
