AI in Storytelling: Unveiling Our Animation Studio's Tools

At Carse & Waterman, creativity meets cutting-edge technology every day be it as we reply to emails or bring 3D worlds to life! Our team leverages top-tier AI applications to elevate storytelling to new heights and ensure the process is as efficient as possible. We thought we would share what’s in our toolbox and explore the reality of AI for a small studio like us.

Our AI-Powered Tools

  1. Adobe Firely & Adobe Shasta: Powered by Adobe Sensei, these tools refine our creative process, suggesting enhancements and streamlining workflows.

  2. Eleven Labs: Harnessing AI, Eleven Labs empowers us to craft immersive and interactive experiences, pushing boundaries in narrative creation.

  3. Grammarly: Beyond grammar checks, Grammarly's AI ensures our narratives are clear, engaging, and error-free.

  4. Runway: This creative playground lets us experiment with AI-generated art and multimedia elements, sparking new ideas in storytelling.

  5. Midjourney: Offering personalized and responsive narratives, Midjourney's AI technology fosters engaging storytelling experiences.

One thing we felt we had to clarify is Automation vs AI, these are different both often confused. Automation simplifies repetitive tasks, while AI mimics human intelligence. In our studio, automation streamlines our workflow, while AI problem-solves, fuels creativity, and makes certain tasks more accessible to everyone.

But as we all know, with great power comes great responsibility. Protecting privacy is paramount. Exercise caution: never share unauthorized data and avoid sensitive material when using these tools. Remember if the product is free you are the product. Even when it’s paid for you are still likely a product. So don’t just share anything you want with it.

But like any studio within the UK ensuring it’s offering it’s clients and staff the best creative and collaborative experience, we have to use AI as a tool. AI does and will drive innovation in storytelling. As we explore its potential, we prioritize responsible usage, respecting privacy and permissions as we do it.
