Many in Stoke-On-Trent have been buzzing about the recent announcement of our City of Culture bid. This has inspired many locals, including ourselves, to be more outgoing in our community. We all want to showcase the various forms of art and culture that come from this great city.

That's why at this moment in time it's even more upsetting to hear Stoke is potentially losing a piece of its industrial history.

One of four vases known to have been made by Josiah Wedgewood on the opening day of the Wedgwood factory is at risk of being sold to China, unless a buyer can be found to match the asking price of £482,500.

To help keep the vase in Stoke you can donate some money to the just giving page here:

Organisations or individuals interested in purchasing the vase should contact the RCEWA on: 0845 300 6200
